The difference between the two wash programs cooking wash and care light lies in the way the wash is treated, despite the same temperature and spin speed:

  1. Cooking linen (30 degrees, 1400 rpm):
  • This program is designed for particularly durable textiles such as cotton or linen.
  • It uses more intense washing movements to remove persistent stains and dirt.
  • Originally, “Kochwäsche” was intended for temperatures up to 95 degrees (here the name), but nowadays many people use lower temperatures to save energy and extend the service life of their clothing.
  1. Easy to maintain (30 degrees, 1400 rpm):
  • The easy-care program is designed for textiles that are less robust than cotton, for example synthetic fibers or mixed fabrics.
  • It washes the garments with gentler movements in order to protect the fibers and to prevent entry or deformation.
  • Ideal for clothing that is not heavily contaminated and requires a gentler treatment.

Both programs can run at 30 degrees and spin at a speed of 1400 rpm, but the type of washing movements and sometimes also the washing cycles can vary. It is always important to check the label of clothing to ensure that you choose the right program for the respective material and the degree of contamination.

Hello Bogdan08

In cookery, the drum turns more often with short breaks.

With care light the drum does not turn so often, makes big breaks

Also, there can be fewer rinsing steps

Cooking linen is 90 degrees, all under it is not cooking linen. Easy to care washes a bit more gentle than cotton or cook.

But 30 degrees is for wool or down.
