Something that usually succeeds does not work at the moment of performance, for example in sport:

A top goalkeeper doesn’t hold the Elfmeter.

Or someone who’s very musical is watching the prelude.

What the performer wants to perform usually does not work, so that the meaning of the performer, namely by explaining or proving something, is not really achieved.

First of all, the experiments are coming from me in the chemistry class. The teacher does something to prove. But what he wants to prove cannot be proven, just because the “executive effect” occurs. Instead of blue, the varnish is red. Instead of burning with light flame, the fabric proves to be incombustible. The helium-filled balloon drops to the ground. Instead of giving rat tones, the violin counter remains mute….

It was physics with me!

For the first time, the voltage measurement on the resistance wire was noticeable: 5 groups of pupils receive measured values that are exactly on the expected straight line, our teacher measures a parabola.

And from there it went downhill.

After the physics abi, the whole performance course was solid conviction, our teacher would be an alien with its own space-time continuum…

For example, if I do a magic trick again and again, and all of it works, but then I want to show it to another person and it suddenly doesn’t work anymore.

Example:

You have a super cool stunt on the trampoline.

A triple Salto (to exaggerate XD) and you want to show them to your friends.

So you try it and it doesn’t work! That’s a lead effect.

If you don’t want to do what you want.

Your car makes funny sounds. You bring it to the workshop and there the car suddenly sounds normal. Demonstration effect.

If something doesn’t work, then someone else tries and then it works right away.

Example: My car does not jump after several attempts. Then my dad gets in, try it and he works right away and he thinks “Yes and what is her problem now, is it?”

If the machine doesn’t start. You get the technician and when he’s here, she’ll jump at once.

Why does everything go wrong when someone sees it? ̄\_(ツ)_/ ̄

The demonstration effect describes the fact that when people are observed or are in an examination situation, people tend to be worse off or become more nervous than in unavoidable situations. In short, the performance can decrease when the pressure of the audience or an assessment is present.
