What to do, rabbit is all alone?

I heard something about the steel, and then I saw one of my rabbits wriggling. I was in shock and didn't know what to do. When he calmed down, I wanted to take him to the vet right away, but he was already dead. Then I discovered all the maggots. Hygiene was always the most important thing, but he often had problems with his anus being stuck together. The worst thing is that his brother had to watch. I don't know what to do with his brother (I'll probably give him away; I can never bear to see a rabbit die like that again). But it will still hurt him a lot, and what can I do about it?

Hello 🙋🏽

I know that.

I clean the goats at least weekly in summer but more often. The toilets two times a day.

Well, best of all, bring the other rabbit to the vet. That is necessary. Please clean the enclosure immediately.

Otherwise you’ll do him a favor if he doesn’t have to stay alone for long. If he’s to the shelter, don’t wait so long.

Dear Greetings I hope I could help you

Let the other rabbits examine whether he has something (can be contagious) and ask the veterinarian what the other one might have had.

Then I discovered all the grubs!

Hygiene was always the most important!

Wasn’t anything with hygiene and cleansing!

Hello

I also care for hygiene

Nevertheless, I’ve also lost an animal to Maden.

She was sick but I checked her health every day. The enclosure is cleaned at least weekly but more often. The toilets of the animals two times a day.

I can’t explain this to myself, and still it happened.

Unfortunately, fits in older or sick animals. My 11-year-old Häsin also died. She sat all day out in her cool house on earth and that was enough. From then on, the cool places of the earth are curse and blessings at the same time, they cool the animals – the same also in tunnels in the earth but if the animal is not 100% fit or only minimally dirty at the after, which can happen with age, then they can become victims of madene infestation…

Summer time is flying time, on damp backgrounds they are the most!

Had our stable 3(!) 5 years ago in summer Once a day completely cleaned and disinfected because I also had a more special rabbit in the stable. I had also checked this several times a day at the bottom of the after area and the whole body, also washed and dried if it was dirty and still the animal had had Maden the next day and died of it. It just goes too fast, especially when it’s warm

Well. There’s no one with me. I’m very careful.

Yeah, that’s terrible. Your rabbit needs a compatriot!
If you want to give it away, please don’t go to the shelter! They’re already bursting out of the seams!
Maybe you know someone who also holds rabbits and can take him.
Tierheim is always such a station for “Animals that can no longer be needed”!
