What can you do about wild boar phobia?
Hey guys, I've encountered wild boars a few times and now I'm totally terrified of them in the forest. I still go into the forest, but I panic at every noise. I know that wild boars are prey animals and are naturally wary of humans. Still, I just can't go into the forest without fear (or alone). Nothing has ever happened to me in these encounters, and the situations weren't dangerous, but I'm still really terrified and don't know what to do.
I look forward to your answers.
Thanks in advance 😊
The question exists for a while now and you might have found a way to deal with it.
Otherwise I have the following idea:
In psychology there is so-called systematic desensitization (SD). This is a method of behavioral therapy that treats phobias.
Essentially, it is a matter of gradually and in conjunction with relaxation to face the anxious event – first mentally, later correct (in sensu and in vivo). If you could use this so classic in your case, a therapist would have to decide.
Maybe it helps you to change this technique for yourself. The first step would be to create an anxiety hierarchy at the SD, where you look at what event triggers most fear and which less. This could look like this:
Uzw.
As one does not want a wild boar attack, of course, and an encounter should not be forced, these points should of course be removed from the in vivo list. You also want to get rid of fear and not gain traumatic experiences.
You could then work with this list and find out the event that would be least bad for you, but a little unpleasant and you would remember if you were in the sun relaxed. Important: if you notice that you get great fear or can’t stop it, then go back a step and take a point from the list that is less anxious. It is about slowly confronting his fears and gaining positive experiences. So no hectic! If you’re far enough, you could go to a wild boar park or the like and watch the animals from the distance.
Depending on how bad the fear is for you in general and how much it burdens you, you could also use professional help and turn to a behavioral therapist who works with you on this fear. But maybe this Thechnik will help you a little further and your walks will be a little more relaxed.
To begin with, to greet each wild boar that meets you kindly.
What can you do about it? A visit to the Waldgasthof (after Corona stop).
The viechers are delicious and with red cabbage you don’t need to be afraid of it anymore.
That this is not helpful should be clear to yourself. This is about the fear of a person and fears should always be taken seriously, even if you cannot personally understand them. If someone is afraid of dying, you don’t say, “Well, go to the crematorium, the staff are nice.”
Nobody’s helped with that. Please consider this on your next answer.
