What's the argument against making tampons and pads free/cheaper for women?

Hey, we were discussing a similar topic in class, and that's how I came up with this idea. Girls and women can't help it that they get their periods, and yet they still have to pay so much for something they don't even want.

Are there reasons not to make these hygiene products cheaper or even free?

Then you would also have to offer toilet paper and diapers free of charge, electricity, water and a roof over your head, free food and everything else we need, for which we can’t do anything 😁

Ach! Was du nicht sagst!

Wozu?

So, in addition to several possibilities, another alternative has to be offered just because anyone feels uncomfortable?

Which period product do you use?

Hygiene articles cost money. The question is therefore somewhat misleading.

On the contrary, the question arises as to whether the generality should arise for it.

This question is clear with no answer. Why should I come up for other people’s hygiene articles?

The manufacturers thus make no plus. If they don’t get money, they can’t make new products either.

I don’t know, but you have to remember that big brands are also suffering from inflation.

What do you mean, how much taxes do I have for something?
pay what I don’t want.

But where are you going to stop? I’m short-sighted, one
good glasses cost about 1,000€. Should I pay for glasses
get it? Health insurance does not count, because first the
hardly a fraction, and secondly, I pay enormously.

Believe me, I know better than you, what glasses
I need and what I pay for it.

It doesn’t change the argument.
