What should be included in a Germany PowerPoint presentation?

Hi. We're working on a topic in geography: Europe. Everyone in our class has to present a country. I'm choosing Germany. What should such a presentation include, and how should I begin and end it? (We were told that the presentation should cover at least five topics, but I just can't think of which ones.)

Hello,

I would recommend you:

Start:

Start by welcoming people and saying that you are making a presentation about Germany.

1. Data:

You can then mention the following information about the Federal Republic of Germany:

Germany

Area: 357.590 km2

Population: approx. 84 million

Capital city: Berlin

Religions: Christianity, Islam

Official language: German

Two. Geography (Climate, Rivers and Mountains

Mention that Germany is in the middle of the subcontinent Europe and that a moderate climate prevails. The largest rivers in Germany are the Danube, the Rhine, the Oder, the Elbe, the Main, the Weser, the Havel and the Spree.

In the north of Germany there is the northern German lowlands, where large cities such as Bremen, Hamburg and Berlin are located. The lowland gin the middle mountains and finally in the Alps.

3. Administration

The Federal Republic of Germany is divided into 16 federal states and you can map a map with the countries.

Also say that there are 3 city states, Bremen, Hamburg and Berlin.

4. History

Tell us about the history of Germany:

Mention Roman times with the emergence of cities such as Cologne, Augsburg or Trier. After that, you can report on the battle at Lechfeld near Augsburg, where a German army defeated the Hungarians who previously expanded in Europe. Then the Kingdom of Germany would be founded, after which the Eastern Central Europe was peacefully populated by German settlers, on the contrary brutally by the German Order on the Baltic Sea. The urbanization of cities, the invention of book printing, the spread of Protestantism, originated by Luther, the 30-year war and after several decades Napoleon campaigns and the reorganization of Germany in 1815. Then there is the German Covenant, with some maladministration it comes to the revolution of 1848/49. A few years later, the German Empire is founded, Germany is industrialized and the population is growing. After 2 World Wars, Germany is divided into East and West, but after 40 years of East Germany and West Germany the wall falls and 1 year later, on 03.10.1990, the two states are purifying themselves to the Federal Republic of Germany, as we know today.

Five. Further information about Germany

For example, you can say that the highest mountain in Germany is the Zugspitze and the largest lake in the Lake Constance. To mention the sights in Germany, something the Brandenburg Gate, the Cologne Cathedral or the Oktoberfest.

Then thank you for listening and asking if someone has questions about your presentation.

Then you would have done everything important in the presentation, I hope I could help 😊

Love greetings

I would divide the presentation into several topics. For example:

  • Geography: Where is Germany, to which seas it borders, where are the large or important mountains, cities, rivers, which neighboring countries Germany has.
  • Politics: Something about Germany’s political system. But also: Who is currently Chancellor, Federal President, who govern parties are in opposition…
  • People: How many inhabitants has Germany, how is the population roughly composed, keywords: age structure, citizenship, religion…
  • Economy: Which sectors are important in/for Germany. Which nations are the most important trading partners…
  • Culture and peculiarities: e.g. Carnival, Oktoberfest, Dialects etc.

If you are able to get English in halfway, the video may be a good suggestion under the following link. I wouldn’t get my information from it alone, because there are also mistakes in it.
