What should I do now?

I just took out my belly button piercing to clean it, and the skin around the ball has a small, distinct hole, like a pressure sore, and it's dark. When I tried to put it back in, it wouldn't go in, and I punctured the skin trying to put it back in; otherwise, the piercing wouldn't have gone back in. Now it's bleeding, and the skin is a strangely white color. I've disinfected it, put cream for infected wounds on it that my piercer gave me, and put a bandage over it. Does anyone know what this is?

How old is your piercing? A fresh piercing e.g. you do not take out to clean, because that can happen.

The best way to contact your piercerin (which now works even by WhatsApp at many).

How old is the piercing? Is it already healed? If you don’t, it can get back together very quickly. You will probably not have completely re-stabbed the skin, only have opened the narrowed channel. Just keep up with saline or disinfectant, you don’t need to stick it off – it should heal in the air.

Superficially, maybe, but after 8 weeks hardly a navel piercing is completely cured – otherwise it would not have bleededed when taking out. Let it in for a few more weeks, you don’t have to take it out.

You don’t take the piercing out during the healing process.
