What will become of our society?
It seems like everyone around me, from 13 to 70, drinks alcohol regularly, gets drunk often, and the younger ones also take drugs.
I don't drink alcohol or take drugs because I have to take antidepressants and there would be interactions otherwise.
I also think alcohol and drugs are pointless and harmful. So many people get drunk every weekend, younger than me, and at my age, they're between 13 and 30.
I think that's really bad.
Where will this lead? They drink alcohol to loosen up and because their lives aren't the way they want them to be. But that's really no reason. Alcohol and drugs can be addictive and are more dangerous than you think. Why do so many people downplay alcohol? And isn't a change in our educational and professional systems even possible? I think reducing stress, bullying, and a negative environment would be the most important thing to reduce alcohol and drug consumption.

I don’t know what you’re taking, but I’ll take those for sleeping and I’ll have a beer if I like it. One should not mix tablets with alcohol, that would sign every doctor and doctor so, but there is nothing bad about it (no beer would be sold in the hospital). Alcohol is definitely harmful and many drugs also, but there is something like cannabis that can be health-promoting and definitely not as harmful as alcohol and alcohol is also fatal.
So I have to say many people know who don’t take this consumption that way and I only drink to festivities otherwise I don’t like beer and glory. But yes that today’s children did this to me in the age of 14-18 more often, thought to me oh God, apparently trying to escape life.

Alcohol and other drugs have been consumed by people for millennia, probably we have already been intoxicated with fermented fruits before we were people at all.
This has not kept us from becoming the today dominant species on the planet.
