Of course, the dome to Regensburg is not too far away from the Danube. The historical “Steinerne Bridge” leads over the Danube, but due to its renovation, it has become the Schandfleck of the Regensburger Altstadt since it does not fit into the cityscape. The “Museum of Bavarian History” enthuses visitors from all over the world with their special exhibitions and permanent exhibitions, where you can also drink a coffee and eat cake directly on the Danube bank. Moreover, (if you have a longer stay) a Danube boat trip to the Kloster Weltenburg is recommended. There are also many beautiful corners to explore and also taste wonderful food.

Other food recommendations in Regensburg are:

  • The “Wurstkuchl” next to the “Steinernen Bridge”
  • The “Bischofshof” next to the cathedral in a quiet courtyard with beer garden

Parking recommendations:

Car park at Dachauplatz

I’ve been to Regensburg more often and can only recommend it. I wish you a lot of fun in our Oberpfälzer capital!

That’s what I’m looking forward to, I’m thinking of the minds, some like them, others like the old ones.

Why is the stone bridge a stain? Because it has been renovated?

Yes, in the old “design” she looked better, I think.

The Valhalla can be presented as a non-Nazi

You mean the Liberation Hall at Kelheim. The Valhalla is a Greek temple reconstruction built by King Ludwig I in the first half of the 19th century and has nothing to do with the Germanic mythology.

Fearably ugly building for glorification of “Germanism”

The whole of the old town, the narrow streets, squares, churches, the cathedral, the medieval architecture, the mountain towers, the stone bridge, the Danube and the castle. Regensburg is a really beautiful city.

Run through the city. Regensburg still has atmosphere despite the styling

It’s not that easy

Does anyone have to show you where the border is?

That’s easy: pack your stuff and get the fuck out of here! — We don’t need people like this who talk all badly and spread the bad mood.

…and actually you don’t need such people anywhere.
