In order for the person to function at least once in principle:

  • 24 pin cable from power supply
  • CPU + fan
  • RAM
  • Hard drive to boot
  • Power connection for the Power button (if you can connect the net directly to the MB)

Then, of course, things like graphics card (if the CPU does not have an integrated graphics unit), housing fans, USB ports,…

CPU cool screen

What is that?

Depending on the CPU, you may need a BIOS update.

New motherboards often have a Bios Flash button. You mean you don’t even need a Cpu and don’t go to the bios to install a new bio. All you need to do is install the new bios on a USB stick by using another PC, plug the USB into the provided USB slot (not every USB slot goes here, see if it is marked on the motherboard or in the tutorial) and then simply press the Bios Flash button and wait until the light that lights up again.

If you don’t have a new motherboard with USB Flash button, then you need to have a functional Cpu that lets you boot into the bios so you can update the bios there.

At least one RAM bar and an APU, with CPU power and 24 pin from the power supply. Ideally even nen CPU coolers, then you can test the board
