Fun aside. What I think is important would be to learn to be able to resist obsession. In many myths spirits can take possession.

Recognizing, identifying and distinguishing would also be important. Especially when you inculcate ghost figures from different mythology and superstitions. Especially in Japanese mythology there are numerous good and neutral spirits.
