What happens if I do not take part in any module exams in a semester?

Hello. I've just started my first semester. For personal reasons, I've missed a lot of lectures and haven't been able to keep up. I'm highly unlikely to pass the module exams. For other reasons, my studies will be extended by two semesters anyway. My plan is to skip the modules this semester and take the same modules again next winter semester.
Is this possible without any problems? Are there consequences if I don't take any exams in a semester?

There are different rules in each university. Both in terms of performance in the (first) semesters and in terms of an extension of the course.

Reliable information can only be found in the exam regulations of your university for your degree program. You should read it once, as it also contains more important information.

This applies to the examination order.

  • Some examination regulations require certain number of credits per semester. For example, we have to collect at least 30 CP by the 3rd semester. The physics students must have passed at least 2 modules by the 2nd semester. The BWLers must have collected at least 60 CP by the 3rd semester.
  • In some modules there are Periods until when they must be completed. For example, “Structure and function of bio-organisms” are completed with the biologists by the 3rd semester at the latest. The chemists must “General and Analytical Chemistry” until the 3rd semester.
  • Some modules are also Requirements for other modules. Thus, for example “Diversity of organisms” are not occupied without “structure and functions of organisms”. So you could not participate in some modules from the 2nd or 3rd semester.
  • Some modules will also only in winter semester offered. If you don’t write it now, you have to wait 2 semesters.
  • If you train modules from the 1st semester, you may be able to use modules from later semesters Cutting. I’ve got the bad luck this semester.Biophysical Chemistry 1“can’t write, because the exam date is “Molecular Biology 1” overlaps what I still have to catch up. As a result I can “Biophysical Chemistry 1” only in winter semester 2025/26 make and there “Biophysical Chemistry 1″ Condition for “Biophysical Chemistry 3“I can “Biophysical Chemistry 3” only in winter semester 2026/27. Because of this stupid overlap, my studies are extended by 1 year.
  • Your Group of friends Of course, it also completely breaks away, as the next year all the Dritti modules are occupied, while you are sitting in the lecture with the new first [so on a large scale the current subjects].
  • Bäfoq also requires a certain number of CPs as proof.
  • You will study 1 year longer -> enters working life one year later. So you’re more or less on a whole Annual salary. My father deserves. 2k per month. For a year 24kin words twenty-four thousand Euro, you’re not.

If these points don’t matter to you, don’t talk to push the modules

actually comes to the course of study and to the examination order… with me in my studies, this would be my problem. Whether I write or not. Nobody cares about that.

Would it not be an option to write at least one exam? Then you’d be one step further. Otherwise, consult the course manager.

I don’t know. Admitted.

But don’t you have contacts on site that you can ask – have the knowledge?
