That’s what hamsters do when they’re bored or have too little space. You mean it’s 1m long, that’s just the minimum, but it’s mostly too little. Greater than the minimum is always better.
Otherwise, is there anything that might bother him?

How big is the cradle? What employment is there? How do you feed?

This behavior is always a sign of boredom. At least enough for the least hamsters, there are also those who are not happy at 150x50cm.

Your hamster knows neither what freedom is, nor whether it would be desirable, and of course he does not know that there is a “thirsty”.

What he might know is that the food comes from above and maybe he realizes that the air is better there: the cradle looks a little bit small for a passionate runner.

again too small, because minimum dimensions do not smell the most hamster. From 2 meters in length, it becomes animal-friendly and if you enter “artificial hamster posture enclosure ” and click on pictures, you can see how much love and knowledge can be set up in a variety of ways. Where the holders have thought much to offer their animals a great life. Looked at your cradle, pure boredom and narrowness, no wonder if he wants to get out. ā™Ŗ

That would be good if you could connect both of them. As I said, there are great ideas on the Internet when you enter ” art-friendly hamstering enclosure ” and click on pictures. Great this beautifully decorated walk

If he’s climbed, the cradle wasn’t kind enough. Climbing is not a natural behavior of a hamster and counts as behavioral disorders. The anatomy of a hamster is not made to climb, their eyes are also too bad and they have no understanding of height or are blind.

When he climbed, he had too little space. Hamsters are floor dwellers and have no thumb and no elevation estimation!
