What's wrong with my rabbit?
So my rabbit is doing this for the first time, I've never seen it before, it looks really scary and weird, it's grooming its neck but you can't call it grooming, it's more like it's biting but it's also really wild, what is it?
Hello Alina,
that is so hard to say. As long as she doesn’t tear out a coat, or anything changes on the coat (cold setting/gloss/spread) it’s normal. They sometimes clean themselves a little stronger. Nevertheless, if that happens to the βseatingβ more often, I would observe that. Then it could be mites. If you look at the coat against the line, white eggs are included in mites. But that’s nothing threatening, it’s normal skin care.
Greetings!
Yeah, I’ll watch it. She’s been laying down now and I just combed her again. I’ve never had rabbits because I don’t know myself so well, it just made me worry. Because that looked weird.
Hello
It could actually be that she does a little itchy, but my rabbits are also sometimes ripping on her wombs.
You should see if your rabbit scratches more often.
But you don’t have to worry if she doesn’t have any cold skins or sheds.
If she tears fur out, she could be a pussy. Watch her build a nest. It is normal to tap up to four times a year to become prestigious. You should let your vet know everything about it.
Does she have a fellow?
Greetings I hope I could help you πππ
Yes clearly she has an artist π
That’s great for you. Many keep their rabbits alone therefore I always place the question in unclearness.
Greetings
@Gordonsetter123 Yes it is important that it has a fellow that was already aware of me from the beginning. It’s easy without animal husbandry. You should be informed beforehand.
My rabbit’s getting ripped on the comb more often. But that’s because he has a big comb and because it often remains hanging from the tubule everything he wants to remove again.
As dreamymind already said, it could also be itching. As it is easy to see if the rabbit scratches more.
In females, I would otherwise remember that in case of pregnancies, they also knock out the fur to build a nest.
As long as you don’t see any sheds and don’t bleed it, I wouldn’t worry about it.
Maybe she’s a predator.
