It always depends. Some people already call titles like “Shakugan no Shana” (2005) or “Rave Master” (2001) as Oldie. That would be a bit too early. Have even read a review in which “Kiss x sis” (2010) would be called “alter anime”.

Classics are the titles of the 70s, 80s and 90s.
Many of them have massively influenced other animes. “Dragon Ball” (Manga: 1984, Anime: 1986) what many Fighting Shonen inspired or “Sailor Moon (Manga: 1991, Anime: 1992, a model for many Magical Girl Anime. or “Urusei Yatsura” (Manga: 1978, Anime: 1981), the original mother of RomCom.

So childhood animes like Heidi, Bee Maja, Nils Holgerson etc. I would also call classical.

Yeah, older anime. Especially those who have been drawn with old technology without computer use, I would suspect.

older, well-known animes that were a great example for other animes, e.g.
-Dragonball (picture for many shots)
-Toradora (picture for many tsunders)
