In Austria it is run at 230-235 km/h. Depending on the type of train you get less /more.

You don’t get a noise, but in ICE or (Austria)Railjets you don’t get much.

In Intercity/Eurocity you sometimes get more with and sometimes less. Of course, it’s fun when everything goes past you so quickly, but you can’t call it a noise, so you feel exactly like driving with a normal train, car, bus

As a self-responsible locomotive driver, my maximum speed was up to now 200 km/h with a double-traction BR182 in the high-speed tunnel in the middle Inntal between Wörgl and Innsbruck.

During the training, I was once allowed to drive an ICE1 (series 401) on the Nuremberg – Ingolstadt expressway under the supervision of the Plan-Lokguide, where we drove 280 km/h. Wow!

However, you do not get a speed noise, among other things because the tachometer is always in the field of view and is also regularly looked on.

160 km/h, I’m not sure. It wasn’t intoxicating, but it feels good.
