When knitting you have two needles, which can be longer or shorter, depending on the project, or also round needles. Knitted clothes are also softer when wearing, and fall differently because the stitches do not pull so tightly. Again, it is harder to spin the knitted again when knitting.

When crocheting, you have only one crochet needle, and crochet step by step more and more, and if you have to open something because a mistake has happened, that is a bit easier because you can pull everything row by row, and the rest remains firm. The hook also makes it a little easier to grip the thread. For this, crocheted clothes are firmer and not as supple as knitted. But if you wear things, they become more comfortable.

I’ve been crocheting for many years and in 2017 I started to crochet my endless ceiling. It is now about 30 square meters.

You crochet with a crochet needle so 1 needle and knitting you do with two needles…. so the needles look different and it works differently

2 completely different techniques. Crochet with a needle, only one stitch is crocheted in rows.

Knitting with 2 and more needles, all stitches lie on one needle and are knitted on the other.

Knitting is done with two smooth knitting needles. Crochet is done only with a crochet needle that has a hook at the front.

Unfortunately, I cannot explain what exactly happens in terms of knitting and crocheting.
