So there one are designed to survive strong jumps and usually have no or little walks down hill nikes are designed for not so extreme jumps especially for down hill stretches and down hill bikes are not so good on the road because they have a fulli suspension
I hope I could help you

Dirt Bike are usually stable wheels with a short/small frame. In most cases, there are 26 or often 24 tires.
Dirts usually have a lot of spring travel in front so that the jumps can be intercepted by the sand hills.
Downhill bikes, on the other hand, have long frames to prevent a hit. Downhill bikes are also very sturdy and, in contrast to the dirt bike, also have a suspension to minimize unevenness in the ground. Downhill bikes also usually have a lot of spring travel.
Downhill bikes are also available in 27, 29 sizes.
Yeah, that’s so spontaneous.
Downhill bikes are almost only available in 26″ or 650b. 29″ there are more than a few exotics
This is true with the much spring travel
Have you thought, just come here and put a sentence in the room without explaining what you’re referring to, let alone explain why.
Yeah, you can do when you’re boring and you just want to stress pointlessly.
So all your opinion, I’m net tactless. I can only join Franeck.
He may be, but he has no wrong with it:-)
Dirtbikes have only 80-100mm FW in front, and the fork is also designed differently, because it is not intended to provide a “comfort” when driving over roots or other unevennesses, but only to alleviate the consequences of cached landings.
Downhill bikes are designed for stability just like dirt bikes. However, divide into 2 areas. While a dirtbike is a hardtail, a downhillbike is mostly full-spring(fully). Apart from this, a dirtbike has certain features compared to a downhiller: thinner tires, less spring travel, smaller, small brakes, single speed. In short: Downhillbikes are for steep, blocked tracks with big jumps and drops. Dirtbikes are only available for fixed dirt systems and highly-prepared routes in which style is not about speed.
Dirt bikes don’t have a damper on the back, sometimes they don’t even have a feather fork. You use dirt bikes more for tricks. They already hold more than a normal XC MTB, but simply can’t keep with a downhill bike.
Downhill bikes have a double bridge fork with 200 mm spring travel and a damper rear. They’re pretty heavy, because they’re sturdy to keep as much as possible. They are also much more expensive than dirt bikes (usually). New models are available from 2000€.
Downhill bikes are there to overcome Grobe’s terrain well, such as stone, root fields or jumps (Drops, Gaps, etc.)
Therefore, DH bikes have a lot of spring travel (200mm) on fork and dampers.
A dirtbike Conversely does not have a damper (back wheel suspension) but nevertheless a spring fork usually with such approx. 80-130mm spring path depending on requirements and taste. The dirtbike is more used for jumping, so in a dirt park with very large (dubles) there is no rough terrain for this, as it is not designed for this.
Other differences are, for example, that one uses only one rear wheel brake in a dirt bike, etc.
Great and whole..
Dirtbike: Jumping (tricks), light terrain z.b Pumptrack aus Erde
DH Bike: Jumping, Grobes terrain e.g. root fields or stone fields etc.
There are simply different categories ende 😀
