The atomic mass will probably be clear: the mass of a single atom (of the particular variety).

Now molecules consist of several atoms. The molecular mass is the mass of such a molecule. This is the added atomic mass of the atoms which together form the molecule.

If one molecule consists, for example, of a C and two O atoms, the molecular mass 1x is the atomic mass of C plus 2x is the atomic mass of O.

is atomic mass not simply proton and electron (i.e. the atom itself) and molecule an atomic pressure and therefore its total weight? Or is this a catch question
