What kind of animal is that?

The little animal is in a plastic box (which has been used to catch many insects and bring them back outside, which is why it's a bit paleπŸ˜…) which is why the photos are a bit blurry.

The insect has been lurking in my room since the day before yesterday. Now, worried that it might starve to death, I've caught it and brought it back outside. But what exactly is it?

Looks kind of cute. Additional description to accompany the photos: Long antennae, light green, almost white/transparent body with a white "line" horizontally down the back, a curved "spine" at the end. I don't see any wings. 2 cm long. What is this? πŸ™‚

Here is a small difference to the common oak scare:

Southern oak scarf:

It has only very small, wrought wings and is therefore unable to fly..

https://www.nabu.de/tiere-und- Pflanzen/insekten-und-spinnen/heugst/23414.html

The small scale-shaped wings do not overlap on the back in both sexes. They correspond approximately to the length of the neck shield

Common oak scarf:

The greenish-glazed wings surpass the back of both sexes.

http://www.orthoptera.ch/arten/item/meconema-thalassinum

Both sexes have fully developed, net-aged wings that protrude beyond the abdomen

Looks strong for a small grasshopper who is not yet adult.
So a little grasshopper baby. πŸ˜„
But I’m not 100% sure.

The “common” in animal species and also plant species is not to be understood as such. This is derived from the Latin.
To explain this in detail, I’d have to pick up a lot now.
In short, this “mean” in principle simply means that it is an originally occurring type, that is to say to be almost identical with “real”.
Then there are subspecies that do not have the name “mean” etc.

Hopefully, this has been well described in the rough. πŸ˜…

I often don’t feel that easy to get over by text. But I had to laugh about it. πŸ˜„
