Anyone who saw some old “sandal movies” with horse-drawn chariots knows the principle. As they are called today, I am unknown, but of course they serve to keep other vehicles at a distance because they are otherwise very quickly ruined.

This has also existed at least in ancient Rome and has the purpose of destroying the tires of others. Especially with wood and rubber. If you don’t have tires, you can’t drive.

I also sometimes saw such sprinkles in Mexico (also in garbage washes etc.). But I was wondering what it’s supposed to be.
