The systems of your target group are a good indication.

For example, if you want to use only Apple, a MacBook makes sense for example for error analysis.

If it is to be an app without demanding system requirements/graphics, it is little sense to buy a high-end laptoo .

Otherwise, the development system is generally quite irrelevant as long as the desired IDE runs on the system.

Even in extreme cases, such as GameDev, only the fewest developers always work on systems with the best possible performance of the application.

It depends very much on WAS and WELCHE PLATTFORM you want to program. (unless you want to build your applications using cross compilers for other platforms than yourself)

I personally have been using ThinkPads as a laptop for software development. It is worth looking for refurbished thinkpads. All important operating systems run on the computer.

Standard PC. It would be good to have several monitor outputs. Macbook & co… for what. As a programmer, you don’t have to try out with overpriced hardware, because a 500-700€ PC is enough (if you don’t have to program something with high hardware requirement).

“Graphic surfaces in C#”

as said, a cheaper PC is absolutely sufficient.

Macbook is ideal if you want to program in the Apple universe. The surface devices are not the “Gelbe vom Ei”, with the old AG the regular and service-friendly are not.

I recommend a Lenovo Thinkpad of the T-Series. mature technology, upgradeable and durable.
