Was ist an KI das besondere?

In order to explain technically in detail this would definitely blow my character limit, there are definitely videos, but you can imagine:

The decisive difference between traditional software and AI is the ability of AI to learn from data rather than follow explicitly programmed rules. While classical programs are strictly deterministic and can only solve predefined tasks, AI recognizes patterns in data and can generalize, i.e. solve new, similar problems independently. It is flexible, adapts to changed situations and can generate creative content such as texts, images or predictions. Thus, AI automates complex tasks that were previously considered too difficult for computers, such as speech recognition, medical diagnostics or self-propelled cars. The special thing about AI is that it is not just programmed, but learns and develops independently.

Simplifiedly, the code behind AI is a guide to how to evaluate data, process them, connect them and thus adapt the action.
But in my opinion, the word AI is now simply used for everything because it is better marketed. KI image recognition, AI traffic lights etc… from my point of view total bullshit, The Facebook Upload filter was able to detect even more years ago when you uploaded an image of your best piece (image recognition) and in 2010 there were also construction site lights that could see how many cars are in front of a traffic light and could therefore adapt the traffic.
In recent years, the upload filter has simply been developed extremely and the traffic lights can no longer create more than at the time, except for more sensors and a data pattern on which day on which road is how much traffic and thus adjust the circuit, which has nothing to do with AI for me.

But unfortunately, any kind of software that has a touch of “intelligence” is marketed as AI.
