What to prepare at boarding school?
Hello,
I'll be back at boarding school in a week and a half because the meals there are poorly timed (sometimes there's no dinner) and aren't always edible, or we don't get anything to eat even though we're still hungry. I'm looking for tips/recipes/suggestions on what I can prepare myself.
I have a refrigerator, but opened items can't fit in there. It's useful if the food can survive at room temperature.
And cutlery and cups are available.
Please provide me with things I can prepare to eat there, preferably very inexpensive. If there are any good gadgets for I don't know what, please let me know.
Can’t open things in flat tupper boxes?
You could buy something fresh every day at the sausage / cheese counter. What about cucumbers? Can they cut into the refrigerator?
Then: bread with butter/ herbs and cucumbers, tomato, if necessary Cheese or quark and banana (black bread).
Salt or sesame pulp (small, dry, from the bag), if necessary with paprikaquarkdip (Milram).
If necessary, buy half a Brit from a baker, cut fat and eat only with butter.
With an electric kettle you can also use Instantcouscous, with some Paprikapesto or something. You could also cut in cold minitomates or mini cucumbers.
Unfortunately no because of incidents because others can not handle lit food. With a cucumber, I can also easily eat with a roombed together. Thanks for the recipes
You could buy fresh pasta from the cooling. They just have to cook in boiling water. The kettle should be enough for that. Something pesto and maybe some rocket and/or cherry tomatoes. Finished pesto survives even without refrigerator 2-3 days.
Couscous can also be prepared well with the kettle, as it is only allowed to swell and not cook. Fresh vegetables (paprika, cucumber, tomato,…) and spices and you already have a delicious dinner. Feta also fits very well.
Instant noodles are, of course, always an option before you go hungry to bed. And salads, of course. The problem is that you can hardly buy anything in such small quantities that nothing has to land in the refrigerator at the end. Unless you’re with several people who want to eat the same…
For the most part, however, only finished products will remain to you, because everything else requires unrestricted use of refrigerators and/or a stove or at least one microwave.
Otherwise you will still have bread with a covering or bread with sausages, for example (can also be made warm in the kettle). Hard boiled eggs, herbal cucumber, cheese, etc. However, this will not be cheap, because smaller quantities are usually more expensive and in summer can and should you not let sausage and cheese goods stand out long, as they quickly spoil.
I don’t think so spontaneously. With a microwave or a mini oven you would have much more possibilities.
Addendum: Maybe consider whether you don’t even want to add a sandwich maker. They are also available for quite little money and often with different records. With this you can not only prepare delicious sandwiches, but also grill meat and vegetables or make fresh waffles. This brings at least a little more variety into the menu.
Okay, so you just have a fridge, no stove or something.
Then you can prepare a large, colorful salad plate.
With:
Nicely dress on a large plate and over all this you make yourself touched cocktail sauce.
Good appetite.

Sausage bread, cheese bread, hard-cooked eggs, vinegar, pepperoni, permanent sausage, packer soup
