What do you think of the Opera GX browser?

Is this browser being used to spy on you, or even sell your data to third parties? So far, nothing bad has happened, even though a lot of important data is stored in this browser.

Sorry, I'm just worried.

Here you will find an analysis of an IT security expert on Opera:

Otherwise, I don’t really think the browser is good. The same goes for Chrome, of course. Brave and Firefox (with changed settings) provide high data protection

I mean, it’s easy to use and I like the possibilities there very much. So I’m good, and because of the data, I don’t care because I don’t care about it.

This is an extremely short-sighted and dangerous view.

reselling data to third parties… until now nothing bad has happened

You do not notice the sale of data, that is not the letter coming by post or malware coming to the device.

Nevertheless, he is extremely dangerous.

I would just like to refer to the search for the Databroker Files:

Both browsers are certainly the better choice.

Brave offers with its chromium base security mechanisms the Gecko browsers (such as Firefox) do not yet have. This includes, for example, per-site process isolation. In addition, Brave offers more functions from work.

Brave itself is operated by a company that pursues commercial interests. Firefox is operated by the Mozilla Foundation, a foundation. Recently, Firefox was a breach of confidence in privacy due to the almost secretly introduced PPA in criticism.

For both browsers, you should adjust the settings. Both browsers are open to source.

I use Brave myself.
