They are usually dreamers, but if they consistently pursue their goal. Why not?

You don’t always have to of emigration talk.

Experience abroad is not wrong.

Everyone has to know that. I have no problem with moving out to the USA at the beginning of 20 years. As long as they are aware of what comes to them and what conditions they must fulfill.
ideological dreaming a la here all the crap, there everything wonderful… I don’t think much of it. But they won’t necessarily get far.
I know many who have successfully emigrated to the USA.
and I had the dream of going to England sometime since the earliest. What I had realized at some point.

Why not? Everyone as he likes.

From an economic point of view, it may not be quite fair if the education/training financed by the state and its citizens is now benefiting another country.

What would mean that no one who went to school in Germany should ever emigrate.

I see it like this: if I no longer generate money to the German state as a German emigrant, I don’t care for it either. Unlike all citizens’ allowances, imprisoned persons, sick persons, for example.

Fantasias.

There is no social network, no termination protection, etc.

I’d guess.

That they should keep going and that the US is not waiting for them. They have enough unemployed cleaning women themselves. Besides, they don’t want immigrants anymore. Getting the Greencard is not easy and this process can take up to five years. Many also forget that the US has no social network that catches you. This is starting with health insurance. If you get sick and you don’t have money for the treatment costs, you look old. Many emigrants from the USA come back to Germany after a few years sick and broke back.

I know personally, a German teacher who followed her friend, Ami. She had a car accident, he left her, and she was quickly homeless and unattended in the USA. A few years has passed and then a German Consulate has asked for a return.

She lives very poorly from Hartz 4 or Citizens’ money in Hamburg.

If he/she meets the requirements for obtaining a Greencard, why not. It is not possible to gather frueh enough experience that even in the USA only is cooked with water.

you’re making the same mistake here as before 1 week ago…

a greencard is of course a great thing to emigrate into the usa. but it is important to know that it is not the only way, especially for young people beginning 20.

there are different visa categories that can also lead to a permanent stay. many young people use a student visa (F-1) to study in the usa.

during the course of the study, they can cnue valuable contacts and, after graduation, find a job which she sponsors for an H-1B visum.

there are also opportunities for practicing in the usa, either via the J-1 visum (exchange program) or the H-3 visum (training program).

These programmes can also provide the foundation for a more advanced job and thus for a greencard.

If you already have a bachelor degree or a comparable qualification and find a US company that likes to hire you, you can apply for an H-1B visum.

after a few years in the H-1B status there is the possibility to be sponsored by the worker for a greencard.

for young women there is also the possibility to work as au pair in the usa.

this allows them to get to know the American culture and improve their English skills.

also here the stay can be postponed under recurrent.

no matter which way you are, good planning and research are the A and O.

you should get in touch with the various visa regulations and if necessary find professional advice.

there are many possibilities for young Germans to believe in the usa fuss. whether it ultimately works, depends on the individual, the qualifications and the willingness to invest in the process.

I assume that our misinterpretation is based on the different definition of the term “emigration”. For me, immigrants are meant to break off their tents in DE, and to stay legally in the country of immigration PERMANENT. And DAS is only the case with a green card. Your examples are correct, but in order to obtain an H-1B visa, the petitioner a) must first win the commitment in the lottery, and b) the HB 1 visa is over 3 years. This means that you have chances and the foot in the door for a lasting stay, but I do not describe this as “emigrants” but temporous life abroad.

it is simply stubborn and short-sighted to say that every young person who likes to emigrate into the usa needs a greencard from the beginning, while one ignores the whole way to the greencard.

such a perspective ignores the fact that most people who successfully emigrate into the usa do not begin with a greencard in the hand. they often use legal, temporary visas – such as the F-1 for students or the H-1B for workers – as a springboard on the way to permanent residence permits. These are not only legitimate, but also widely recognized and are used as an important part of the US immigration system.

by this view stubbornly haired that a greencard is the only cowardly point of departure, she guides young people into the crazy and undermines their motivation to explore real, achievable possibilities. it is not only not helpful – it is factually wrong and ignores the structured, step-by-step immigration processes that have helped unselfish people to achieve their goal of living and working in the usa.

it is not about redefining “emigration” or raising false hopes; it is about recognizing the reality. to claim something else means taking people the chance to pursue their traeume on practical, informed wise.

This should not work for the next 4 years.

The “Depp” in the white house does not hold so much of immigration.

I’d wait…
