Was gilt als Handgepäck bei Lufthansa?
Hallo zusammen, bald fliege ich nach der Türkei. Ich bin vorher niemals geflogen. Hab mit Lufthansa hin und zurück gebucht. Laut Lufthansa darf ich ein Handgepäck mitnehmen. Bis zu 55 x 40 x 23 cm groß (inkl. Griffe und Räder) und 8 kg schwer ist die Definition von Handgepäck laut Bestimmungen der Lufthansa.Ich Hab ein Handgepäck bestellt, welche 57×38×24 cm groß ist. Gilt das als Handgepäck bei Lufthansa? Muss die Maße 1 bis 2 cm wirklich nicht überschritten?Wird Handgepäck so streng gemessen? Welche Erfahrungen haben Sie bitte ?

Depends on who’s on the switch.
There are metal baskets with the allowed dimensions, some check this and if it doesn’t fit, you can give it up as an extra suitcase with the appropriate price, dispose of it on site as it is not allowed to fly (only as a paid suitcase) or just not.
So I would send the hand luggage back and buy one, which corresponds to the allowed dimensions.
No one’s gonna say anything about 1 to 2 cm. Many airlines have “devices” to which the hand luggage must fit. If it doesn’t fit, it won’t be allowed.
But I’ve never had it with the LH.
