There are many very complicated things.
Especially the cross size system is complicated for many. The letter is in relation to the number.
Example: There are 3 women in front of you who have 75A the other 70B and the next 65C. Most would now think that the woman with the 65C Bra size has the largest chest of the three. That’s not true, everyone has an equal breast. Here comes the cross size system. The third woman just has a narrow underbreast circumference than the other two so she has a larger letter although her chest has the same size or has the same volume as the woman with the 75A bra. The band with her is just shorter.
Why this is a bit more complicated, but that has what to do with calculating the bra size and cut. With this you also have a bit of buffer because if you actually have 75B but the lower band is too loose you can take a 70C bra.

The number is the underbreast width in cm
The letter is the basket size as a function of the breast width and breast width
The higher the letter the bigger the basket the more the basket the more the basket
AA is smaller than A, AAA is smaller than AA, DD is larger than D
A bra of size 75 B has an approximately equal size basket like a 70C or an 80A
