Did you last flew over 20 years ago that you’re not gonna get this? And if that’s what you should be like: do you remember what this flight cost, including baggage at the time, how the income looked like and how much more expensive it was then?
I’m 38 years old and remember the times before RyanAir and other cheap airlines. At that time, you didn’t even think about what domestic flights were like, because flying was really expensive! The 80 euros, which you described as “untractive”, would not have been enough for a short domestic flight at that time, let alone for a gefilde farther away. For a flight to the United States you were happy if the price was not four-digit.
Yes, this supplementary policy is and remains unsightly if you only get to know how high the price is now. Doesn’t change anything, however, that on this path the air prices have dropped enormously – and that you also have the opportunity to make short trips across the world at really very low prices without great luggage! The fact that we should not do this because of climate change is, of course, a topic for itself…
I can’t confirm. I regularly flew to Miami a few years ago. Prices for return flight including luggage for less than 400€. I would like to thank you for your support. Just without luggage.
When was this “a few years ago” exactly?
Because there are people who fly without big luggage. Or to sew people because they’re just looking at the “only flight price” but not at the end price.
As with people who always look at the highest discount, but not at the only counting end price.
Airline tickets have always become cheaper, so the airlines need to get some money. Early complimentary services are offered only for extra payment, e.g. catering and also luggage. The most extreme idea of this was (of course!) Ryanair, where one thought to make the use of the on-board toilets payable, but so far it did not come (yet?).
I’ve heard ryan air just made it/proposed to stay in conversation and everyone talks about it.
I don’t think so. Have you ever flew with them? From start to landing, they try to sell you something.
Then flee without luggage, the price is correct
