Why is my crocheted blanket curling?

Hello,

I've been trying to teach myself how to crochet for a few days. I've only crocheted a few test pieces, experimenting with the different stitches. Now I'm trying to crochet a blanket, but it's curling and looks more like a semicircle.

Why is that?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards

Certainly you have crocheted stitches twice into the same stitching point at several places. Take care of where you have to step in next. When you crochet two stitches into the same puncture place, you take stitches. And then your work waveth and becomes a semicircle.

As a beginner, it usually happens at the beginning of the row, at least at that time.

Most likely you have crocheted tightly, sometimes loosely or, what can be, in some stitches 2 x pure. The beginning is often not easy. The error can also be due to the change in rows (too little lutmaschen).
