Why does it say unknown account?

I noticed that there was an open lock next to my Windows SSD, so I clicked on Properties and then Security. Under Groups or User Names, it says "Unknown Account" and a number. Is that a problem, and is it a problem that the lock is open?

Where can the castle be seen? Take a screenshot.

An unknown user in the security settings is normal first when a user account has been created on the system, which later has been deleted.

In principle, this is not bad first. Probably the SSD was used beforehand on another computer and there were also data on it. So the data belong to the SID of the former user.

I’d just take over the property and then it won’t come back.

Then you should simply reformat the SSD during Windows installation. Evtl was Windows preinstalled when buying? Then this may be a rest of the image from the seller.

Win itself also places div users to regulate internal permissions…. The lock could possibly mean that the plate is encrypted by bitlocker. Build it and plug it to another PC, you have no access until the Bitlocker password has been entered. This can and should be guaranteed if data recovery is necessary.

You don’t have to. But you can do as the fastest solution if nothing else is installed. Otherwise take over the property and possibly delete it. But with new installation and formatting everything is gone. I would therefore not install from the recovery.

Even with new products the Windows has to come on.
