Why can I hardly taste any salt?

I just ate some soup and I noticed that it really hurt my throat to eat the soup until I realized that I put about a tablespoon of salt in my bowl but I didn't taste any of the salt, why is that?

You may have slept so that the salt has not reached the sensitive areas on the tongue. Maybe the salt was still unevenly distributed.

Or you really don’t taste a salt (even?) but you can quickly check it with pure salt.

Supplied on the tongue? Does it cold, or else use a lot of salt?

Heyy,✨

There are several reasons why you may not taste the salt in your soup. One possibility is that the taste buds were temporarily affected by the heat or sharpness of the soup. If the soup was very hot or contained sharp spices, this could have led to a temporary flavor disorder.

Another possibility is a disease called hypogeusia, which describes a reduced taste sensitivity. This can be caused by various factors, including infections, drugs, certain health conditions or even malnutrition.

If this problem persists or you are worried, it would be good to visit a doctor to get an accurate diagnosis. The doctor can carry out tests to determine the cause of your taste change and give appropriate recommendations.

I hope I could help you!🦋

All good!💖
