That’s a good question.

You sometimes wonder why people smoke who know exactly how harmful it is, zb doctors. Or in this case, the girls who run high-performance sports.

I could imagine stress being an important reason. The pressure to be perfect and superbly show good sports performance. The body weight should also play a role in this. In addition, nicotine can improve concentration.

This and much more, in many cases will justify the handle to the glimm stem. Although it is contrary to one another.

Once started, it’s very hard to stop again.

The main role in the development of dependence on smoking is nicotine. As a rule, nicotine is stimulating, it also activates the so-called “rewarding system” in the brain. This activation in turn results in increased well-being.

Some time after the last cigarette, the nicotine level drops in the blood of a smoker or smoker. This can lead to lighter nervousness and inner unrest. When smoking again, the nicotine content in the blood rises again, restlessness and nervousness disappear and well-being also increases.

The brain records the felt positive effect and wants to repeat it. Every train is a little kick.

Thus, a dependency can begin – if you do not stop in time or do not start at all.

There are athletes who do this to be able to concentrate, but the actual concentration gain is controversial (maybe rather that if they do not smoke the withdrawal symptoms deteriorate the concentration by the addiction pressure).

This is actually found in many areas where there is a lot of stress (e.g. in the disposition of a logistics company).

But this is definitely not a good reason to start smoking, it is more likely to harm your physical performance!

Also, I don’t see why you smoke at all is creepy to me…I think it’s the testimony of a low self-esteem
