Why do health insurance policyholders have to pay so much for dental treatment?

As a completely penniless and heavily indebted person, I have to wait until all my teeth are extracted before I can get ill-fitting dentures on a hardship basis. If I had the money, my teeth could be saved.

The sickness insurance fund pays the costs for the regular care, which is based on the necessary but most cost-effective care. This corresponds to the double fixed grant you receive as a “hardfall”.

This is the cheapest, but sufficient supply. In the case of fixed bridges and crowns, additional costs for precious metal are incurred, but these vary greatly. The veneer is paid only for teeth in the visible area. If you wish a complete blinding – also in the side tooth area – this can quickly become very expensive.

Up there are hardly any limits, because you can also set implants instead of a bridge. It’s not necessary.

Talk to your dentist, who offers affordable supplies, don’t let you do anything, but provide fair advice and choose the Volkswagen instead of the Ferrari.

For the future, you should think about supplementary insurance. Many health insurance companies cooperate with insurance companies that offer the most affordable for their members.

The root treatment and root tip resection is for good reason only in certain indications cash flow. In many cases, it is not promising.

Thanks for the star – I hope I could help you.

You also have the right to seek a second opinion if the dentist wants to pay you too much extra costs.

Hello Nobodyrotz,

the health insurance fund pays only necessary, sufficient and economic treatments. However, these do not always correspond to the wishes and ideas regarding the optics and comfort of the patient. And then the almost infinite possibilities of treatment alternatives begin, but then you pay or you have insured for it.

Some are driving a golf and others a Mercedes. And others walk on foot. That’s it.

And why should a plastic bite sit badly?

Good luck!

That’s why many people have a dental supplement insurance because the cash register has little funding and even if you don’t have a bonus booklet, there’s nothing to do with it.

Lickless bonus booklet, complete teeth
