What influence did the church have in the Renaissance?

Hi, we have to answer a few questions in history but I'm stuck on this one: What influence did the church have during the Renaissance? Which families were influential in the cities of Florence, Venice, and Genoa, and to what extent did they promote the development of art? I would appreciate any help!! 🙂
Be glad. We like to romanticize the past. Nevertheless, the Middle Ages you know from fairy tales or perhaps medieval events are likely to be much different from the fact. Take a look at YouTube videos that depict a life in the Middle Ages. Not everyone was king and had nice clothes. I am thinking of famine, diseases, violence, superstition, witch hunt, abuse of power, etc. Although, nowadays, there are these problems in others. Well, and if you take it exactly: false information (minor), witch hunt, power abuse etc have probably never really left us. But for that, life (both here) is a bit safer and if you are swarming for the Middle Ages, you can go to events and meet like-minded people. 😊
Because God has great plans with you.
as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, so that we are holy and impeccable before him in love.
Ephesian letter 1:4

Be glad, because in the Middle Ages you might have been executed before your 30th year of life.
Interesting statement. And according to your statements, the present days should be viiiiieeel worse than at the time
Because your parents now and not in the Middle Ages had a desire for sex.
Because you don’t have a time machine. Be glad. They had neither Internet nor showers or toilets.
Who should free us from all evil here and now?
In the Middle Ages, you probably would have been building the next branch.
you’ve been there in the middle age.
