Why is there no signal on the monitor or is it simply not working?
Hello, I have a problem. Today I decided to connect two monitors to my PC instead of one. One monitor works as usual with an HDMI connection via the graphics card. The new one doesn't have an HDMI connection, but a VGA connection, which is blue. As I said, one is plugged into the graphics card, and I wanted to connect the new one to the PC via the graphics card. But there's no signal. However, this monitor also works with the VGA connection on the other PC. Can someone help me and explain this to me? Thank you.

Das VGA-Kabel hast Du aber schon irgendwo eingestöpselt, oder? 😉
Wenn das im VGA-Port der Hauptplatine stecken sollte, dann solltest Du besser eine CPU mit integrierter Grafikeinheit (iGPU) haben, die im UEFI auch aktiviert ist.
(Der Betrieb von zwei Grafikkarten ist prinzipiell kein Problem).
Sollte Deine GraKa keinen VGA-Port sondern einen 2. oder 3. HDMI oder DP haben, dann könntest Du auch noch einen HDMI=>VGA bzw. DP=>VGA-Adapter verwenden.
Beide Monitore müssen an die Grafikkarte angeschlossen werden. Der normale Ausgang am Motherboard ist bei eingebauter Grafikkarte deaktiviert.
Kann man irgendwie beide aktivieren ?
Nein – das geht nicht. Der interne Anschluss am Motherboard ist für die in der CPU integrierte Grafikeinheit (sobald die CPU eine solche hat) und die bleibt deaktiviert sobald sich eine Grafikkarte in einem PCI Slot befindet. Was ist denn das Problem. Ich kenne keine Grafikkarte die nur einen Ausgang hat. Im Zweifel brauchst Du einen Adapter, wenn das mit den vorhandenen Kabeln / Anschlüssen nicht passt.
Es wird nur an einem Ausgang das Signal anliegen; das ist typischerweise im Bios des Rechners einzustellen. In dem Fall hat die Grafikkarte den Vorrang.
Was kann ich machen damit das geht oder ist das nicht möglich?
