Why can I never enjoy a concert?

Hi, I have a maybe a bit of a stupid question 😂. I regularly go to concerts by my favorite artists. The anticipation is always greater than when you actually attend the concert. Why is that? When I'm at a concert, I feel like I can't enjoy it and it doesn't seem special, even though I've been looking forward to it for so long and have just been counting the days. When I listen to the songs at home, before the concert, I get emotional. But not at all during the concert. Do you know that feeling, and why is it?

I think maybe I can understand what you mean. Maybe you can’t relax under this great crowd of people. I like concerts, and I don’t visit them too often. Can enjoy music better in a quiet hour. So it doesn’t have to be so quiet, but there’s a lot going on in the crowd. Live music always looks different to me and I’m not necessarily a fan of live versions. Many lights do it too?

And yes, as someone has already mentioned here, it can also be due to the great expectation. It is generally so, not only at concerts, even at parties or before a movie, that if you expect too much, then the actual is not so great or you do not feel it like that.

Ev. you put yourself under pressure that you just expect more than is delivered. Maybe it’s your daily form, or you can’t even carry your joy out.

I’m also one of those who stand in front of a stage and are totally celebrating inside. Outside you don’t see much.

You just expect too much of you because you’re live. You know internally that other eyes could see you. This will only slow you down.

This can happen if our expectations are so high that reality can no longer hold. Therefore, it is best to screw down your own expectations.
