Why does my male SBB chase my female?

Hello everyone, I have a pair of Sbb in my 60-liter tank with nine neon fish. The tank has plenty of plants, roots, rocks, and caves. For about three-quarters of a day, I've noticed my male chasing the female. She's also lost a bit of color and turned pale. I put in a ready-made cave today to create another hiding place.

I've had both for about 2 months and before that it wasn't like that. The female is definitely a female and so is the male, it can't be that they are both male.
