Most aquariums have a lid that can carry an average cat.

And the average cat usually falls only once into an open aquarium, after which she learned it.

Yes, that’s why most aquariums already have a cover, there’s usually also lighting in it,

Most aquariums are covered, especially aquascapes are not. Due to strong LED illumination, which is above the aquarium, a cover is often missing. But also because many find an aquarium without cover more beautiful.

Usually only Scape aquariums are without cover.
This is simply because it looks more beautiful and a stronger illumination can be attached to the open basin. In addition, there are also usually pieces from large roots.
But it doesn’t have a real function.

Hi.

Most aquariums (80%+?) are closed at the top with a cover.

You have to shut it down or at least open it very far so that you can cut plants in the aquarium or catch fish.

Oh. And what is better about the proposal of the questioner than with a usual cover? 🙂

Nothing, because any normal lid provides space for filter outlets, cables, etc.
