2 aspects:

  1. The own environment is rarely representative.
  2. The average can be severely distorted by individual high salaries. That’s why a median is more meaningful.

I’ve been looking the 4K times and I’ve been waiting. https://www.handelsblatt.com/enterprise/content-so-high-ist-das- average income-in-germany/26628226.html

4105 are employed full-time. The crows the whole thing once and for some time forces that, for example, unlearned in the mini-job, will fall out with it. We’re talking about people working around 38-42 hours.

Self-employed and beamed out as well.

Here is an example of how a small group can pull the average high:

Let’s take five employees.

= 2 K gross

2K gross

3: 2.5 K gross

4: 3 K gross

5: 8 K gross

If we only take 1 to 4 the 2+2+2.5+3 = 9.5 =>9.5 : 4 = 2.375 on average.

Take all 5 would be 9.5 + 8 = 17.5 => 17.5 : 5 = 3.5 on average.

In addition, do not exchange the average with the median. In the

This is because the average is always spoken.

In Germany, according to evaluation in 2020, the average salary is 3.975€ gross (full-time) or 2.084€ net (all, also part-time).Source

The median income is often much more meaningful, i.e. the income or here only the salary that Germany shares in a poor and a rich half. In Germany, according to the article of 2019, it was €2,503 gross.Source

Example 5 Families: 2,000€, 2,500€, 3,000€, 3,500€, 10,000€ income. The median would be €3,000, but the average would be €4,200 and thus far from the reality of many of the families mentioned here.

The mean value can be strongly influenced (in contrast to the median value) by extremely high individual values.

And since the managers of the Dax concerts take over several millions a year…

Most workers I know earn minimum wage, i.e. about 2100 euros gross.

44.407 euros earn German workers per year in the median, which has determined the Jobportal Stepstone for 2023. The average salary 2023 is even a good part of it at EUR 53.318.11.09.2023
