There (nase/nose up to the stomach/intestine, or into the lung….) there is a stop “seam skin”. The sense is, among other things, to keep the skin moist to moisten breathing air or in the esophagus, that first everything slips better and secondly the digestion begins….

Because mucous membranes release mucus, especially when they are only slightly fermented.

Sure. The mucous membranes that dry out because no protective mucous membrane formation does not feel good.
