RLP is a very hilly federal state, and HBF or ZOB knew each central station of a compact urban structure, or ceremonial structure.

So ~ 1960-he until 1970-he had a large industrial cleaning – / and congregation reform in general in “West-“Germany, and there was no need for any smaller municipality as part of large urban associations to dispense with the reference of then self-responsibility after the congregation reform .

Thus, in part also in a common areas of large cities, or districts, the derivations HBF or ZOB . ( ZOB stands for Central station formerly independent cities or municipalities

These “titles” have often arisen after the large reform of land purification, but also only from citizens’ protests of the respective regions / cities & communities .

RLP also has particularly many historical old structures with many hundreds of years of history before the land purification reform with centuries-long City law old laws .

Before the land / and settlement reform, many of the small settlements themselves had not even in a loose connection City rights .

Histotorically, it was up to the then small princes or kingdoms to grant municipal rights to settlements.

I come from the corner (Bingen). How else would you call the station? There are Bingen City and Bingen HBF. What else would you call the HBF?
