Why do some people think that daydreaming a lot is a waste of time? I actually daydream every day and I think it's really nice 🥰?

Hi 🙋‍♀️ I'm 31 now. But I've still remained very childlike inside. I also have a physical disability and need a lot of help in everyday life and live with my parents. Even as a little girl 👧 I daydreamed every day. I've always had a very vivid and flourishing imagination. Daydreams often help me too. In my fantasy world, everything is exactly as I want it to be. But that can't be achieved in reality. For example, in my world, unicorns fly around and of course they don't exist in reality. 😂 I often imagine that stars I like are also in my world. I imagine I have wings and can fly. I've had this wish somehow since I was little. I would like to be able to fly, but without having to get on a plane. These breaks in my world are actually really good for me. But some people have told me to stop dreaming! Grow up! That just annoys me so much. I absolutely love daydreaming. But I can clearly distinguish between fantasy and reality. That's why I don't understand why I've been told to stop. After all, I know what's real and what isn't.

What do you think about this? My disability also limits me somewhat. This allows me to make my life in my fantasy world much more exciting and thrilling with my dreams. I actually think that's really nice.

You have more sorrow and friendliness to you,as so many others, whether young or old.The dreams keep you, hold them as long as you can.I am also often a child, and you should always keep that in yourself,so a life becomes too serious and griefless.Reality and dream can differentiate, that is important, you can.So nothing is in your way, egal, what others say or think.

I always wanted to be a witch that can help all (not evil or creepy),all can make healthy….then I could fly with you, on a broom and you with wings. That would be what😊🎈

I don’t think that’s bad at all. It’s your business and it’s not going to hurt anyone.

Gives worse hobbies. Others take drugs to get away mentally from everyday life.

The problem is, of course, when daydreaming is so overhanded that normal everyday work suffers from it. But if it helps you to get a better understanding of the world as a whole and your situation, it’s great:)

You’ve already explained your life circumstances here several times.

A normally developed person without handicap is encouraged to design the daily routine in such a way that labour income is secured. Day dreams are more obscure. Of course, certain dreams and ideas float through the head when you are working, but you cannot lose yourself in it because other things come too short in everyday life.
