It was a big mistake to make such a long lunch sleep. Scientists recommend 20 minutes because this is ideal and does not affect night sleep. It would have been smarter to just sleep for 20 minutes and stay awake by night. Lunch is healthy when they are 20 minutes long. It is not bad to occasionally enjoy a midday sleep, but you should pay attention to the length of the night sleep not to impair.

Maybe you’re sleeping too little at night. And even if not: too long at midday sleeps make you more tired than awake. If I’m tired, I’ll lay down 20-30 minutes. Longer is not necessarily more relaxing.

In fact, a longer midday sleep can make even more tired the reason is that you wake up in a deep sleep phase.
