Es war vorher(!) eines der Besten und das konnte man noch halten. Kuba war vor der Revolution eines der reichsten und fortschrittlichsten Länder der Welt.
Ein paar Zahlen und Fakten sprechen dafür und ich kenne auch Ärzte aus anderen Ländern, die das unterschreiben und auch die hohe Qualität des Studiums bzw. der Qualifikation der kubanischen Ärzte loben.
Auf der anderen Seite steht die Mangelwirtschaft. Auch der beste Arzt kann nicht helfen, wenn ihm kein Antibiotikum, keine Schmerzmittel und manchmal nicht einmal ein Pflaster oder Verbandszeug zur Verfügung stehen.
Zumindest hatte ich den Eindruck, als ich zu der Zeit auf Kuba Urlaub machte!
