When is the best time to break off buds (bonsai)?

To encourage the buds behind the stem to sprout for fine branching… that's what you do, right? When is the best time to do this? Not necessarily in terms of the time of year, but rather in terms of the bud's stage: what does it look like, where I can see that it should/can/must be removed now?

Hello,

To get buds behind it to drive out for fine branching… you do that, don’t you?

No, you don’t usually do that, because what is the use of the branching in the rear area of the shoot? As a rule, the drive is cut off where it is to branch off, in this case it is necessary to pay attention to the direction of growth when it is driven alternately, in the case of the opposite, the drive branches on both sides!

You seem to speak of the Astende or This is not really obvious from the question! With regard to the joy of growth, I have never noticed that described by you. But maybe it helps you

Go on!
