Car always leaking oil?
Hello, I just topped up the oil two months ago, and today, while driving, I was caught off guard. The engine oil warning light suddenly came on red, and the car wouldn't start at all. The gears wouldn't engage for a moment, etc.
Afterwards, I managed to drive the car to the nearest gas station, but the engine sounded terrible. I checked the oil level and it was completely empty, which is crazy because I had just filled it up recently. Anyway, I did top up the oil.
Do you think I can still drive it now? I made it home without any problems.
What’s bad, because he’ll probably have damage.
And not to go to the workshop according to the motto “are only 3km. The last one I’ve met with it has driven its avenensis exactly 3.3km far after the oil pressure lamp lights up, then the camshafts have eaten and both have broken. Total engine damage.
Avensis with oil consumption ? Can’t have been an older T25 with 1.8 small block 😂
Ne, was a T27, but the engine no longer knows (was a gasoline). But what I know was that there was a lot of oil sludge/oil coal in the cylinder head. Well, again, someone who didn’t take that exact with the oil change.
Yeah, some cars can be kind of sorry.
My daughter runs a 2006 P9 with just under 150,000 km. It also flaps with enough oil, but is also an old three-cylinder 😂
This tends to thin oil and yellow sludge in the oil due to short-haul and temperature and therefore gets independent of running performance (about 7000 km/year) in the oil each Spring fresh oil and mandatory new filters.
Come on. 40,000-50.000km a car motor like this holds with the same oil if you still tilt because the Sachsenringwerke and VW taught you good night.
Yaris is a good keyword. Order to fill up oil at Yaris P9 times until the oil lamp leaves. Determination 1: The flaps very nice, the engine. Determination 2: When you tilt 2,4l of oil (!!!), the oil level is also back on Max., the oil lamp is out and the engine is back. But is cheaper than letting the bucket repair.
I’ll do it myself at Yaris. €12 for 3L oil and €3 for the SM106, 15 min work… every 18 months. I don’t understand how people save the bit and drive the engine out of wrong austerity
…only for you as a customer;)
Nen oil change at nem Aygo can also be made for 12,50€. Originals 0W-20 (yes, 2.8l of them!) and oil filter included I have already seen with my colleague. All prices. What you pay more as a customer is all pure profit for us 😉
Yeah, that’s right. When I drive Prius, the oil change becomes more expensive 😎
Jo, the Avensis also takes 5W-30, but the hybrid models without exception all 0W-20 or the whole boys 0W-16 (Dynamic Force engines).
I also use 5W30, Mannol Energy JP, API SN, among others for Japanese vehicles with vague delivery to the inspections. My Toyota works had always filled 5W30. I’ll fill in my 2004 Yaris. Great stuff. 15W40, however, is already criminal 🙄 so today no more modern motor 😳
MAngelling maintenance should be cause no. 1. Toyota workshops are also the last to fill in the still correct oil. Have seen enough Prius waiting in foreign workshops. Never been the right oil. Mostly 5W-30, 15W-40 I’ve seen before.
Sufficient things, but at some point is zig.
Uuhh. You’ve got to be bad about the car. Wrong oil or never changed. A shame 😒
I’m driving myself in the 2010 T27 with 1.8 gasoline. It takes minimal oil (about half a liter to 10,000 km) and is dry with 167,000 km. It comes to an inspection of the Toyota plants every 15,000 km…
first time the usual vehicle ? Manufacturer/model ? Data ? Ges Lufkraft ? Hazards km and replenished quantity / which oil was used?
If you are so omniscient to drive three km without oil pressure you will have to find painful how expensive the engine damage will be after three km or even a few 100 meters without sufficient lubrication… OK, your decision.
Depending on the manufacturer and engineering, the Glimpflich can go off or be just annihilating for the machine. Usually it is when the lampoe is already too late the engines are sensitive components that often live with bearing games of Hunderstel mm and work without lubrication when e.g. waves are guided in the oil bath and not in the storage material I do not want to introduce myself.
If one knows that his machine needs oil or eats it then one should clarify and eliminate the causes. In all cases, I would have oil in it and control it regularly while tanking..(I always have a liter in it though I come to the closest without refilling..) … that’s annoying and uncool… that can be a little bit or what bigger ones… you’ve probably triggered something big and should be looking for a reserve machine for a vehicle user.
Have fun in your life you should reflect your way of thinking and consider what it might be if one or the other doesn’t run the way thought or planned the one like that moves through the whole.
immediately get to the workshop with tow and repair and no longer drive
After filling up the oil, the workshop is not 3 kilometers away, I don’t need a tow
If the engine has already made strange noises, it will probably have caused internal damage. This also helps to fill oil no longer…
You should have stopped right away and not drive a meter.
Hi, I guess he took away a capital engine damage.
If the control light for the oil pressure is concerned, the engine is immediately called out and tow. It is often too late.
You shouldn’t have gone.
No, it’s not crazy if your engine burns or loses oil.
But probably eaten now anyway, anyway.
