ich habe einen kleines Problem mit meinem w124 230E Baujahr 1986. wenn ich etwas länger im Stand laufen lasse überhitzt der Motor direkt heißt die anziehe gehen hoch auf 100-120 grad.

…maybe the cooler isn’t that good anymore…or the fan doesn’t run reasonable. I have a similar problem with my 230 CE (also a 124) and must avoid congestion (or turn up the heater completely)…but I only come to just under 100°C. I’m thinking about renewing the cooler. However, I also have various damages in the air duct behind the cooler… there could also be one of the reasons for this problem because the fan is no longer “suctioned” by the cooler. What does it look like in driving? If there are no problems, it may indicate what has already been mentioned. The cooler is at any rate “payable” (in free trade, at Mercedes I don’t know), for the “channel” I haven’t even found a part number.
