yes, a well-known vulnerability at up, Mii and Citigo. To glue the lid, a 2-component epoxy adhesive would be best.

For this, one should completely expand the lid (is not a witchcraft, see video) so that you can clean and fix everything reasonably.

Nevertheless, I also believe here that a new lid would probably be best, or just a used one in car color.

Try to remove the adhesive residues there thoroughly, then you can try it again with epoxide if you get this fixed reasonably.

Let the glue be and buy you replacement, used or new.

The gasoline vapours release the glue, no matter what. That doesn’t last long
