No previous damage?

After an accident through no fault of your own, the opposing insurance company wants to know about previous damage to the vehicle

According to the purchase contract, the left door of my vehicle was repainted

I asked the dealer for the claim number or settlement number, but unfortunately the dealer does not know the number.

He tells me that he bought the car at auction from a large Mercedes dealership.

And the Mercedes dealership reported at the time of sale that the left side, or rather the door, had been repainted. But nothing more.

Since the opposing insurance company absolutely wants the previous claim number, I don't know how to proceed.

Has anyone of you had such an experience?

Can you ask HIS yourself?

A pre-shade, in which only one door had to be repainted, is absolutely irrelevant for an opposing insurance for a new damage.

If the debt question is clearly resolved, I would not be shaking around for a long time, but would transfer the damage to a specialist for traffic law. These costs will also be borne by the opposing insurance.

Was the vehicle checked? …. Then an expert noted that there were no unrepaired damage.

Then the insurance company is free to carry out a review.

If you didn’t get a damage number from the previous owner, that’s the case. This can not be the opponent’s insurance of your desire. If the insurance does not want to pay, you can also take a lawyer. The lawyer’s box usually pays the insurance of the accident victim for a liability damage.
